Workshop on traffic rules was held at Govt. College of Commerce and Business Administration, (GCCBA) Sector-42, Chandigarh on 1st September, 2015. The workshop was organized by Environment Society ‘AVNI’ of the college with Chief traffic Marshal Wg Cdr C S Grewal and other Traffic Marshals Mrs Uma Mahajan and Mr. R L Gupta along with Sh. Rajinder Singh, Head Constable as key speakers. The workshop emphasized on the importance of wearing helmets and how not to violate the traffic rules. It was further shared that 95% of road accidents occurred due to human error which could easily be avoided. Due to impatience of the people there are many fatal accidents that are taking place nowadays. They also emphasized to the students that whenever you are on road always follow the rule ABC, Always Be Careful.

It was also highlighted that many a times people do not help the victim due to the fear of being roped in by the police but they clarified that as per the recent order by the Supreme Court there is no interrogation to be done with the persons who help the victim. Students felt very enlightened with the information and helped them to become more aware regarding Traffic rules and safety.  The program was concluded with the showcasing of various videos on the accidents in Chandigarh to bring more consciousness amongst the students.
